Industrial strength May 20, 2007

Outstanding piece of equipment. This is a SOLID music stand; Holds a 400 page Fake Book, a Clip-on lamp (mine has the shelf underneath that also is holding my pencils, picks, metronome & tuner) and neither rocks nor groans. If you've ever suffered with one of those flimsy stands that wouldn't support a 3X5 card, you will certainly appreciate one of these.

Belmonte Black Orchestra/Concert Stand Jul 23, 2007
By Barry N. Schmidt I have been using the Belmonte stand for about six months and would not have another stand. The feet are completely adjustable, allowing for greater stability for outdoor use, as well as indoor, and can be folded for easier carry/storage. The stand is also adjustable for percussionists who need the high extension when playing tympani, bass or snare drums. The stand is completely foldable, resulting in a small package that is easy to carry. The music "platform" is detachable, making it even more portable. The stand is solidly built, displaying no vibration or "wiggle" during use. The Belmonte accepts plastic extensions for those who prefer to tape three or four pages together for use with plastic binders. Well-engineered, well-designed, well-built, completely adjustable.

The best one I tried Apr 05, 2010
By FearFox I'm a keyboard player and was looking for a note stand to hold my laptop. I went through and returned two different note stands from my local music store, since they were not sturdy enough. Then I found and ordered this stand on Amazon. It is super-sturdy, easy to put together and is fully adjustable. I feel safe trusting it with my laptop!

Product Description Jul 20, 2007
By Love Alisha Cole The heavy-duty features of this stand include: black steel desk with rolled edges and surface pattern for strength, built-in music clips, heavy, wide-stance base, chromed steel tube shaft with height adjustment to 47", and fully angle adjustable desk. One piece steel construction of desk and solid one piece base. Secure height adjustment grip is very easy to used. This heavy duty stand is built for orchestra use. It is tough enough to withstand the heavy usage of an orchestra. REGULAR LIST PRICE: $62.49

Solid Dec 21, 2010
By westcoast_veggie The quality of the materials used to construct this music stand are rock solid.
It is more than sufficient to support a 319 page music book. The lip/ shelf it sits on is deep enough to support a few writting implements without the need for an accessory shelf.
Although I don't believe it's for portable use, I'd definitely suggest this music stand to someone in the market for one.
