4Not Bad!  Jul 27, 2010 By Perry Patetic
OK, so this is a cheap harmonica. However, some of the best blues men played cheap harmonicas. It's sort of funny when you read reviews about people paying huge amounts of money to get that "authentic" sound, when the original artist played whatever he could get his hands on. Same thing goes for guitars.

PRO's: this is a tuned (you can see the scrape marks on the reeds) real harmonica with a plastic comb, brass reeds, and a decent sound. You can take it apart and mess around with the reeds for different action, you can stick it in your pocket and not worry about it, and you can learn on it - certainly enough to make you a more educated buyer when it's time to upgrade.

CON's: Brass reed plate extends beyond the comb a bit (brass tastes nasty to me), plus it's Chinese made, so who knows what impurities might be in the product. But that goes for a lot of things, and not just from China!

Does it compare to a Lee Oskar or a Hohner 20? No, it is not as good as a harmonica costing 12 X the price. However, it's a reasonable way to learn if you like harmonica before you start spending $30+ a pop! It also gives you something you can take apart and run the risk of breaking. It has all the same parts as a more expensive harmonica, it's just not quite as good (though not all $30 harmonicas are that great either!).

5My son loves it.  Jun 10, 2011 By Vdot
My son loves this and is starting to play tunes that I can actually listen to without me kicking him out of the room.

4Good Harp  Jun 26, 2011 By KC
I'm a starter Harmonica player so I got this one just to screw around with. It's a lot of fun! It fits perfectly in my pocket and its got a nice sound to it. I give it 4 not five because it comes with a paper case not any sort of protection. It's durable but it has no protection so be careful.

1It's a toy  Dec 24, 2011 By Wrencherd
This one is a toy, but might be enough in that regard to satisfy a kid's need to tootle.

If you wanna play the Chicago Blues (or any kind of real music) you're gonna need a Hohner Special 20 (at least).

1Harmonica Blues  May 27, 2011 By Zane Burke
They sound halfway decent for the first day or so, then they go flat. Alright for a use once and throw away $2.00 harmonica.
