3Fun While it Lasted  May 07, 2009 By David F. Lykins "Ravin"
I bought this unit from another outlet. I thought 15 dollars was worth the gamble to see if a flanger would be useful to me. It's a fine effect when used sparingly. The plastic case some people complain about is not that big a deal. It's pretty sturdy. I don't see it breaking just because you drop it, or even throw it, on the ground.
The bad news is that 5 days after I would have been able to send it back, day 50 of ownership, it seems to have taken a turn for the worse. It developed an annoying hiss/buzz when it reaches the apogee of its sweep. I tried to figure out some way of isolating the problem hoping it would be one of the cables (Why would that be better? The cables cost more than the pedal!)but it turned out to be in the flanger itself.
I'm going to replace it for sure with a more reliable pedal but this thing served its purpose and hopefully I can adjust the setting and take the noise out of it and use it on my practice amp.

5Great sound - even better price  Jan 03, 2006 By Section 8
Don't be fooled by the cheap price, this is a solid pedal. Produced a nice smooth flange, I use it on very low settings to get a sweeping, slow flange that's good for when ur playing clean - good for chords and even better for arpeggio's. I had a boss flanger that was a few years old and when I bought this, I sold the boss. There's no reason for anyone to go pay 70-80 bucks for a pedal you get for 15 bucks that'll sound relatively the same. The only difference between this and the more expensive pedals is u get more range w/ the dials on the boss and digi's but personally I don't think it's worth the xtra 60 bucks. Also the more expensive ones are made of metal, but the Danelectro's not made of cheap plastic, although it is plastic. I read some reviews where people complained they broke theirs by stomping on it...If ur not a moron it's not a problem.

4Awfully good product for under $20.00  Apr 29, 2008 By Jonathan J. Downard "ionateus"
The plastic housing is a little bit of a turn off, but I'm not an idiot kid trying to smash everything anymore. That said-- this effect sounds great. It's hard to believe that such a useful pedal is so cheap. Try it out-- you can't lose.

4Great little effects pedal for the price  Sep 26, 2006 By Glenn Douglas Clark "Ancient Desert"
I checked out these little $15.00 pedals out at Guitar Center and was surprisingly impressed. They're very quiet and sound great. For someone who wants to explore effect processing, these are a great start. Same goes if you are just expanding your pedalboard like myself. The only cons are you can't see the setting of the knob from the top (but it does give you the experience of trusting your ears and not your eyes to create the right effects) and the footswitch is difficult to trigger if the box is sitting behind another pedal.

And to the review whining about not getting a battery with the pedal...WWWAAHHH WWAAHH WWAAHH!!!! Buy an adaptor!!

These are a great little pedals for the price!

4CHEAP!!!! But still a good effect!  Mar 05, 2007 By LeggoMyCraigo
This was an impulse buy after seeing one on the counter at the local music shop. I had been wanting a flanger pedal but after buying the gear I already had in my hands, was left with little money. I figured for $15, the worst that could go wrong was that it would sound like crap and it would sit under my bed for the rest of my life. When I pluged it in I was actually surprised at the sound quality of the pedal and now I keep it in my effects chain. I don't care too much for plastic pedals, but this one has held up well (probably because it is seldom used). If you are wanting to mess around with different effects but don't want to spend lots of money, check this out and all of the other Danelectro mini's too.
