It works! Apr 20, 2012
By Home Recording Guitarist Thas's right, it works! That's about all I can say about a necessary component of every Dunlop-style wah. It wounds good. Oh yeah, and it's 25 bucks, a bit steep for a simple pot.
Quality good, but different sound than Hotpotz 1 Dec 03, 2010
By Ron Shipp I bought one of these to replace the Hotpotz 1 in my old crybaby. It seems to be good quality, but it definitely changed the tone and the sweep compared to the original. I did a search and found that there are mods I can do to the circuit board to regain my old sound, but they do require some soldering skills. In short, I think the product quality is fine, just don't expect it to sound or work like an original Crybaby. It's mainly a matter of taste and what you are used to hearing, so some people may like this sound as well or better.
Works in older Thomas Organ Co Cry Baby Jun 20, 2010
By Asa R. Gawthrop I have an older Thomas Organ Co. Cry Baby 95-910511. The Dunlop ECB24B Hot Potz II works fine. It is a direct replacement and is straight forward to change out. Now the wah pedal works quietly with no scratchy sounds.
