5Great strings, long life  Aug 12, 2007 By K. Bills
I tried other extended life phosphor bronze strings (including D'Addario) before these but found that they went flat and lost their tone far too quickly -- definitely not extra life as far as I was concerned. I have been very pleased with the tone and life of these.

3surprised I didn't like these strings  Dec 15, 2006 By Owl "nordic/celtic guitarist"
I absolutely love Elixir Nanoweb strings, and before I started buying Elixir strings I frequently bought phosphor bronze strings of various brands. I was really excited when I found these. Unfortunately, I've been really disappointed with the tone, which I wouldn't describe as "sweet" at all as mentioned in the product description. Closer to "dull," and difficult to hear in jam sessions, at least without amplification.

Like their other nanoweb strings, they appear that they could last a long time without their sound changing much, which is the main reason I'm giving them 3 stars instead of 2. I have gone back to using Elixir's non-phosphor-bronze nanoweb strings, and will continue to be a loyal fan.

5Great tone and last forever.  Mar 11, 2012 By Dave
I've been using Elixir strings for a little over 5 years now for electric and acoustic. They maintain their tone for a VERY long time. The set that I recently replaced on my acoustic was there for a year and still sounded like they were just a couple months old. Between me and my buddies that guitar had been played pretty often as well. The new strings always sound a little too bright in my opinion but after about a week they sound perfect. I also like how the coating helps your fingers glide across the strings. If you haven't bought elixirs yet and are on the fence about it I would definitely recommend that you at least try them out.

5Elixir Acoustic Guitar Strings  Dec 31, 2011 By James Michael Curl "Redonkilaus"
I put these strings on my Gibson acoustic guitar so I could record songs using ProTools on my iMac. The strings are now several months old, and are still reasonably bright. I normally have to change strings often (at least once a month), but these strings stay in tune and sound great even after 3 months.

4Elixir, not Martin strings  Jul 25, 2011 By Bill A.
I have an early Epiphone acoustic. It is such a fond possession few things come close. I usually use Martin bronze strings. They can get bell-like tones when desired. The Elixir strings have a good sound. They are a little thinner than what most might call medium, but they sound very good. Though thinner sounding than the sound of the top Martin' strings I normally buy. The softer sounding Martin's are my goal, and these are not that. As far as how long they'll last, I'd forget to review if they last 3 times longer than I keep my Martins. Call these a light medium and you're right on target. But expecting a more bronze sound has me wanting the Martins. I would surely buy these again, as they are fun to play. but will have to have that bronze sound on this guitar again, at some time. . Thus, I am not what you would call "fully won over and amazed.".
