5Great little amp for quiet practise or headphone monitor  Sep 21, 2007 By JD "SRV RIP"
I like to practise my rock and blues late at night and do not want to upset my wife and kids, so I tried a Pocket Rock-it, but found it to crack and snap, very annoying. So I found this affordable option and I am very pleased with the sound. It is only for quiet practise, or as I use it more often, for use with a set a headphones. The required 9v battery is still working after a month of use, probably 15 hours. It sounds great, and for the money there is nothing else out there.

The only suggestion I would have is to provide an option for a mini-jack for headphones so an adapter to the 1/4" receptacle is not needed. But I would definitely highly recommend it for anyone that has similar needs to mine.

4Fender Mini-57 Great Little Amp  Jan 29, 2011 By Marcus
This is a nice little amp. It has great sound in a small package. I DO want to clarify one thing, so you won't order the wrong accessories. Amazon's site recommended that I order the Danelectro DA-1 power supply with this unit. That power supply works with the Fender Mini-65 and the Danelectro Honeytone amps, which are also nice units, but it is reverse polarity of the Mini-57. After writing to Fender, I learned that the Boss Pedal Adapter is the one to use with this amp. I am going to try one of those. So far though, I am impressed with this as a practice amp, and I like the style of it. Incidentally, I thought my amp wouldn't power up, so I sent for a replacement, and Amazon was very quick with that. I am sending it back, however, since I probably don't need an extra amp of this size. Hopefully, it will keep working great.

4Awesome sound with cheap particle board construction  Feb 06, 2009 By D. Presser
I wasn't sure what to expect when I received the mini amp sound wise. I was surprised at how good this small amp actually sounds when I played on it.

Straight out of the shipping box my amp rattled like there was something loose inside the amp itself so I opened up the back and found 1 of the clamps that holds the speakers had came loose inside. I tried to screw the clamp into the same original hole but the particle board had been destroyed in that spot (stripped). I made another hole and reattached the clamp for the speaker, closed the back up again and it plays wonderfully.

For $50+ it sounds fantastic if you don't have to mess with the screws or the cheap particle board construction its great for quiet practice.

Can use batteries or purchase a wall outlet adaptor for it.

5i love it  Dec 27, 2010 By torquemada "sweating_demon"
bought this little amp for my brother and we both were amazed at the detail that was put into this miniature of the original normal sized fender classic amp: the chicken head knobs, the tweed and the hilarious volume count that can go up to 12!!
we were even more amazed by the sound this little thing puts out,
and were able to nail some extreme/black metal sounds that were impossible to get on bigger amps
without a pedal. and with the gain down, the sound was surprisingly crystal clear. however, to get the best sound out of this mini amp, keep your maximum volume on 10; u'll still get a rageous distortion while preserving the life of your little amp.
this beautiful looking sturdy amp is a perfect tool that allows you to take your electric guitar where there are no electrical outlets (works with a 9volt battery), allowing you jamming possibilities outside the confines of your room/studio.
highly, highly recommended.

5Power Packed Mini  Jan 04, 2010 By B. liu
Don't expect too much from this little sucker but don't expect too little either. it's surprisingly loud running on that kind of power and it's as portable in a small book bag. dont look to hold a concert for this item but rather let it be something to practice with if you're just sitting at home and you dont want to lug around any "beginner/training" amps and/or wake the neighbors because you want to hear yourself (you would need to buy an 1/4" to mini adapter).

here's a link to what the knobs are: [...]
