5Works as advertised  Mar 05, 2011 By K. Morrison "arizwldcat"
I purchased this for my home studio, wanting a stand that would adjust easily for my students of varying heights. This one fits the bill. It adjusts up and down by just a push or a pull. It's tight enough (so far) that it doesn't "sink" if a student puts heavy music on it. It's also steel so if I need to secure music or other things to it with a magnet, I can.

Since we have wood flooring in the room where this stand is used, I also bought some floor protectors. (Musician's Friend sells a set of 3 for less than $2). If you're worried about marking up your floors, then I highly recommend the floor protectors.

5Pastor  Apr 26, 2010 By J. L. Judd "Pastor"
The music stands are a great quality for the price. We've purchased several of these stands over the past two years and are satisfied with the purchase experience and the quality of the stands.

5The Stand You Remember  Sep 30, 2011 By Fletcher Chambers Jr.
This is the stand you remember from the band room. Effective, and built like a tank. You will need a wrench to assemble (a very simple task). One note - the metal feet would scratch some types of flooring, invest in the optional foot covers if you're concerned.

5Very good quality. Sturdy, but heavy  Apr 26, 2012 By Thomas C
I bought this based on reading several other reviews. Turns out it was a very good choice. Very sturdy. I only use it in my living room so portability isn't an issue. If you're looking for something to travel with, skip this one. It's exactly like the ones I remember having in elementary school back in the '60's. It will support heavy books and stay put.

5Awesome stand, can fit 2 inches of books  Mar 08, 2012 By Acmys "Thanks"
Nothing says the desk height - 2.5".

Good, easy to assemble in five minutes with a wrench.

Easily fit lots of books on here.
