Great stand for small time gigs. May 10, 2010
By John Ellis I've had my stand for a couple years now. I originally used it as my primary stand for my Epiphone and Larrivee 12-string guitars, but now it has been assigned duties that take advantage of its compact size when folded. I love that I can stick it into an over-the-shoulder canvas bag with my electronics, tuner, and cords giving me one less thing to worry about when transporting my instruments and amp. For it's size, it provides a surprisingly stable stand for a full-sized guitar. Just be careful when you place your instrument on the stand to be sure it is centered. It could be a problem if you're in the habit of throwing your instrument onto the stand in a hurry. This stand raises the instrument high enough that an endpin cable still clears the ground.
All in all, I can highly recommend this stand for acoustic guitars - I don't know about solid body electrics.

Awesome! I love this stand! Jan 15, 2011
By Rabbit W This stand was well worth the extra bucks over the cheapy stands that go for $15. It supports my hollowbody 12 string electric with ease, as well as regular sized electric guitars. I am not worried about it tipping over and it doesn't have the annoying fork-like prongs of other stands that swivel around or fall out of the stand when you try to put your guitar on them. My life has suddenly become a little easier thanks to Hercules. Also cool is the fact that you can fold it up and put it in a bag/case with your cables and it definitely seems well built, unlikely to disintegrate for many years, if ever. I bought this on sale and again say it was well worth a few extra dollars.

Hercules Travel Guitar Stand Feb 12, 2007
By T. Allen This is a nice stand that has a newer formula of rubber that doesn't interact with nitro-cellulose finishes. But that is not the main reason that I bought this stand. I am impressed with the quality of the Hercules guitar stands in general, and after buying a tall stand, (with the locking hanger at the head,) for a friend, decided to buy one for myself. I also decided to try one of the small stands as well. Still impressed by Hercules.

Small, tough, wellbuilt stand May 27, 2011
By John Fretz If your looking for a small(ish) guitar stand, that is built like a a tank, and which wont harm the electric guitar it holds, or the floor it sits on...then this is your stand.
It folds up small enough to fit in (many) guitar cases when not in use. All the fold-out arms have a locking pin in place to ensure the stand wont accidentally fold up with your guitar on it. And all the points of contact between the stand and your guitar/floor are covered and padded.
Handy, portable, tough, well built, and secure. The lower support arms are deep enough to hold any solid body electric with a little room to spare (it holds my Fender Strat, with about a a thumbs worth of extra space...front to back)
And lastly...while it's not the prettiest looking stand sitting there all by itself. But with a guitar on it, the stand vanishes visually. So if you want to have something in your living room, to hold your favorite piece of musical art, then this little stand might serve you well.

It does what it promises Dec 28, 2005

This small stand is perfect for mandolins. It is of very high quality construction, with large non-slip rubber pads for the body and neck. It folds easily and smoothly into a short "bundle" for travel. I trust it with a premium mandolin.
