Surprisingly sturdy, yet elegantly designed Jul 16, 2010
By J. Conrad I received the Hercules GS602B iStand as a gift and am extremely pleased with it. The compact design is great for portability, which is what I expected. What surprised me, however, was just how sturdy this stand is. The stand itself is pretty heavy, which makes sense given that it has to support the weight of a guitar. Its low profile combined with the little legs that pop out the back make this stand nearly impossible to tip over. Mind you, your guitar could still be knocked off the stand--perhaps easier than if it were on a normal stand-- but I'd argue that normal guitar stands themselves are pretty easy to knock over, guitar and all. The best part about this design is how it shows off your guitar. My guitar appears to almost be standing up by itself since the iStand is so relatively small and doesn't have any unnecessary pieces and parts obscuring the guitar. I also like how easy it is to just grab my guitar and play, then just as easily set it back down without the possibility of it getting hung up on the stand itself. I only wish they'd make a slightly larger (taller) version for bass guitar as I'm not sure the height of the part that flips open would properly support a bass's length.

love it Oct 15, 2009
By John L. Hussain Great guitar stand. I was a bit sceptical at first but I went ahead and took a chance and ordered it. I am impressed by how well built and strong this guitar stand is and it holds your guitar securely on stage. Folds up neatly, very innovative.

AWESOME! Jun 28, 2011
By Abigail My husband and I have both had many types of stands for our guitars over the years - and this is by FAR - our most favorite.
It's so compact and low profile, in addition to being amazingly sturdy... that I'm actually quite a bit surprised by the other reviews. To be honest, I did have a little trouble "trusting" it at first... until I realized that there were two little feet that needed to be pulled out from the bottom. Once you do that, then position the back guitar support slightly forward and lock in the front feet, it's REALLY solid. It holds my 11 lb Schecter, no problem.
We plan on replacing all of our other stands with these,... because they're so compact, functional, and allow such easy access to our guitars without being too unsightly. ^_^.

Beware - not secure for all guitar shapes Aug 27, 2011
By John Britton Jr.
"mrbritton"
My Fender Jaguar-shaped guitar (a botique instrument - I _think_ it's probably close to a Jaguar in shape) is not held securely by this stand. The Hercules GS302B, on the other hand, works fine and is probably more easy to travel with as well.
