5Mounts = Awesome / Hardware = Broken Guitar  Feb 26, 2007 By J. Drass
Aesthetics:

They look awesome when mounted. I have my two bass guitars hanging side by side and couldn't be more pleased with the look.

Mounting:

The screws that come in the package are worthless, throw them away.

Use Toggle Bolts on the top two holes. I used 1/8" x 2." On the bottom hole, just use the biggest self-tapping screw that will fit through the hole and drive it directly into the stud.

At first, I tried using hollow anchors on the top two holes and the mount started pulling out of the wall. Don't do this, it will end badly.

5Hercules To The Rescue !  Sep 20, 2010 By Reg 59 "book addict"
I got tired of my guitars laying around in corners so, I bought the first Hercules at a well-known pricey music chain for my Epiphone Les Paul copy. Because it is the heaviest guitar that I own, I figured I would try it first and if it worked out, I would buy a couple more on Amazon.
Well, it worked out!
Be aware that if you know nothing about basic carpentry, the screws and anchors included for installation are NOT suitable for drywall. Brick walls, wood, and concrete ARE suitable and work best.
To hang on drywall the Best method I think is to get either a 2x4, or a 2x6. Paint it up and decorate it however you like. Now, get yourself a stud finder to find studs behind the drywall and visibly mark them with a pencil slightly wider than the 2x you decide to use. Put you 2x up to the stud marks and drill pilot holes for 3 1/2 or 4 inch wood screws. Anchor the 2x to the studs. Now you can secure your hanger(s) to the 2x! Remember to cut the to 2x to the length of your choice!!

4Great way to display guitars.  Apr 01, 2010 By Jennifer Tocci "jennypah"
Overall this is a great product for hanging your guitar(s). We bought two to hang an acoustic and electric. The guards close when the weight of the guitar is in the mount and to take you the guitar, just lift a little to take the weight off and voila. The only thing weird is the plate that mounts to the wall. That is a triangle shaped piece and if you're mounting onto a beam (which we recommend) you can only get two screws into a beam, one on top and the one at bottom.

5Excellent.  Sep 25, 2011 By coolreviewer1 "coolkayaker1"
Used these for years on son's electric guitars. No fuss. Mechanics do not seems to wear out, still gripping. No way at all to knock the guitar off the wall. No neck damage to axes. Mounts well, but try to find a stud, certainly. Keeps the guitar far enough away from wall that brushing against it does not hit the body to the wall.

No complaints. If you're going to drill your wall, is it really worth it to buy a simple fork style wall hanger with no means to keep your guitar on it if it gets bumped when for a few bucks more you can get the undisputed champion of guitar wall hangers. All 5 star reviews on this baby. And I agree.

Please click "helpful" so that I can sleep at night. Bye bye.

5Great Wall-mount Stand  Jul 31, 2011 By Ish "mardiv73"
The stand was easy to install. At first, I was still hesitant to place my guitar on it, thinking it would not hold. It works the way it was meant to work. It keeps my guitar in one safe place, and not in the way of any foot traffic. It's very strong, and sturdy. I highly recommend it.
