Great Metronome, But Needs a Volume Control Oct 12, 2007
By E. Latz This metronome is a great product but needs a volume control. The knocks and chimes keep perfect time, but are at full volume. There is no way to reduce the volume in situations that require it. If not for the lack of this feature I'd give it a 5.

Excellent (but loud) Jan 31, 2009
By D. Guerra As noted by the other reviewers, this metronome is excellent, but loud (and no volume control). I had a set of small plastic lifts from Target (normally used to raise objects like electronic equipment up a little bit for air flow), and placed one over the small speaker grill to lower the volume to an acceptable level.

Greatest thing ever created. Aug 12, 2010
By Ashley Yea After playing in terrible thinly-insulated practice rooms at school and at summer festivals, I would definitely have to say that this is the perfect metronome. It is loud, it has a nice woodblock sound, and it is easy to read/change tempo. Its loud enough for any instrument, from brass to piano. Especially when your banging out the last pages of a Rachmaninoff etude or any twentieth century piece for that matter. Buy it. You won't regret it.
LOUD Nov 25, 2011
By Matthew N. Hovey The is the metronome that the piano teacher recommended. My only complaint is that it gets quieter as the battery dies. I would rather there were some kind of battery meter on it that would say, "hey it's time to change the batteries" somehow instead of someday realizing it's gotten quieter.
Too loud Oct 21, 2010
By Noname This Matrix metronome was my daughter's piano teacher's choice for a metronome. It has really helped my six year-old keep the beat during piano practice. It's easy to use. She can set it up by herself. The only problem is that it's too loud and we can't adjust the volume. It really doesn't need to be that loud and I wish there was a volume control.
