4It's a $5 pitch pipe. Don't expect miracles.  Nov 22, 2011 By Timothy S. Smith
I didn't expect any miracles and am very happy to have this lo-fi tuner in my ukulele case when I'm on the go and don't feel like messing with something electronic.

This pitch pipe is good enough to get your ukulele strings tuned "in the same the ball park", but if they're all like mine you'll need to do some additional tuning. 3 notes are a little sharp (by about the same amount). One note in particular is off much more than the other notes. I would have bumped my rating up to 3 stars if the pitch on all 4 notes were as least consistently off by the same amount.

The little clip-on electronic tuners have come down in price so much I would suggest purchasing one of those instead, especially for a beginner. Check out the Snark tuner GulfGecko mentioned. It cost more but is more accurate and easier to use than this pitch pipe...a better value for your money.

5Pitch Pipe  Feb 24, 2011 By Daryl J. Healey "Daryl"
For the price, it does a good job. I used it for a bit, before purchasing a Snark electronic tuner.

1No good  Feb 19, 2011 By J. Bell
The pitch changes dramatically depending on how hard you blow into it. Each note requires a different strength of blowing to get the right pitch, if you can get it at all. Maybe I got one with a fluke manufacturing defect, but then this brand needs better quality control.

4OK  Aug 14, 2010 By Momma Chong "DL Chong"
Never actually received what I ordered since this item was out of stock but the seller was very gracious and compromising and sent me a better, more expensive item which I didn't like but then they sent me another pitch pipe too so I was very satisfied with their Customer service and really good communication.
