5Perfect  Jun 27, 2008 By David Jacobson
This device is simple, high quality, and works perfectly. There is a volume control and you get the selection of two click sounds. The dial is easy to use. The position at the bottom of the generates a tone for tuning: either 440 Hz (modern) or 415 Hz (early music), selected by the click sound switch. There is also a standard 3.5mm headphone jack.

5all the bells and whistles!!!  Feb 20, 2007 By Julie Zopp "julie"
Seiko metronome has more features than most.

Our daughter did have to take it to her piano

teacher to figure out what the numbers on the

dial represented as the packaging did not explain.

However, the piano teacher asked where we purchased

such a nice metronome and now tells students to

purchase this item. Very well pleased!!!!

4good quartz metronome  Jan 06, 2009 By xiongmm
Overall I like this quartz metronome for it's simple and does its job well. It gives two choice of tempo sounds that are pretty pleasant wooden click, unlike the beeping sounds from some electric metronomes. The dial is clear and easy to use.

The only problem I had with it is with the earphone jack. When I plug in the earphone I can only hear the sound in one ear (I tried several of my headphones) and the beeping is somehow different from when it's played out. I'm not sure if it's a common problem or not but it doesn't bother me that much because I don't really plan to use headphones with it.

Since I just got the item there's no way to tell the battery life. Hopefully the 9v battery that came with it would last a while.

5I miss my metronome.  Oct 03, 2007 By heidijohanna04
I love this metronome. I am about to buy another one because I lost mine!!! I searched to find this kind again, though, because I am very happy with it. It is simple, easy to use, easy to hear - what more could you want in a metronome?

5recommend  Mar 10, 2010 By anonymous
I highly recommend the Seiko SQ-50V. First, thanks to everyone who reviewed different metronomes and described the shortcomings of the other brands and models. From reading them, I learned that some metronomes made a beeping sound, some were too loud and some too soft. The SA-50V has a volume control and makes a percussion-like click. It is small enough to sit on an electric piano and the tempo setting dial has numbers as well as music tempo terms.
