life saver for "Bad" bands Aug 27, 2010
By Thomas gruda
"sound guy"
I run a professional PA system and I had some trouble with 2 separate bands dropping my sm 58's on ground. Well during that show I bought 5 of these thanks for Amazon Iphone app. I keep them in the mic case with the 58s and when I have a feeling the band is going to be violent I switch them out for these puppies.
I would feel comfortable running a high end show with these mics cause they sound great. I personally would use them the regularly for back up vocals for there low cost and superior sound.
but some shows are very particle about having 58's. but these are the bands who know how to treat a mic.
of course nothing beats a classic shure sm 58

Good Workhorse Feb 06, 2010
By SciTeach This mic is typical of Shure: good and tough. For the price, don't expect studio performance; this is a good mic for garage bands, karaoke, anywhere you don't want to shell out on for the superb SM series. It is a good sounding mic that does what it's supposed to.

Shure PG48 Vocal Microphone Mar 28, 2010
By Ken L. Marks
"lap swimmer"
The microphone is used with an inexpensive karoke amp at an assisted living facility. It is a great improvement from our old microphone. We are not fussy about quality vocal. Just need it loud and clear for making announcements.

Decent Jun 26, 2011
By pamcdermitt My drummer got a deal and pulled the trigger on a 3 pack of these and I was like "NOOoooo"! Turns out I was wrong about these mics. They are solid, sound good, and are a great price. They will not hold up to a SM-58 or a beta 58, but it dogs the heck out of my Audix OM-2. Get one and see for yourself, heck at $40 use it for a back up.

Wrong description May 20, 2010
By rak Just got it today through Amazon. Be aware! This product comes with a XLR to XLR cable, not a 1/4" cable as described. Have to return it.
