3Poor chinese construction  Sep 16, 2010 By Embellisher
These are necessary if you own a Shure guitarist wireless. They are the only replacement cords that fit. Based on the reviews here, and the fact that the one that came with my wireless only lasted 3 months, when I bought this I wrapped it from end to end with 3 layers of black plastic tape. That made it a lot stiffer, and so far it has lasted almost a year. It is starting to short out occasionally, but I hope to get 3 or 4 more months out of it before having to order another replacement. If you need one of these, do like I did and reinforce the entire cord with electrical tape from plug to plug, or you will be needing a replacement very quickly! I play bass and use mine three times a week at church, and at a few gigs in the past year.

2Shure not so sure!  Feb 19, 2007 By S. Roush "Sound Man"
The cable started out fine but it began to loosen up quickly and soon had to be taped so the the connection would stay in the mic pack. I do not believe I would purchase another one of this type of cable from sure.

4Optimistically Excited  Oct 04, 2011 By PRO DJs
I read some other reviews that previous purchasers were not happy with the longevity of this product. So far mine has worked great but I have only used it twice. Only time will tell if this product will be worth the investment. I am hoping to get a good few years out of it.

3Shurely crap  Sep 10, 2011 By farnese518
Shure screwed this one up. The cord lasts about 6 months then dies. There is no other option though and if you need one...you need one. Wish they would make them better quality.

1Bad Design  Feb 05, 2011 By Dave
Poor design by Shure. Meant to separate you from your money.
You really don't have much choice. I agree with a previous reviewer, mummify it in electrical tape. You might get a year out of it then.
