5Awesome clip-on tuner  May 10, 2011 By Jaeger
Great display, accuracy, price, and adjustable positioning. Frees me from using a pedal to tune so I can run straight into my amp and relish in the toneeeeeee! Fits on my PRS headstock.

I also should note that this model is strictly a chromatic tuner, no mic and no tap-tempo metronome. But, I'm a sucker for the black coloring vs the red or blue.

Highly recommended.

5Excellent Tuner Even Works on Bass Low E  Jun 27, 2011 By Mark Druziak
This is a great little tuner. It is just as accurate as my Boss TU-12 and it works much better than my Inteli IMT500. It works great on my uke, mandolin, guitar and bass - yes even the low E string.

The colored display is very nice and seems to make tuning easier than the LCD display on the IMT500.

I don't think I will use the IMT500 again unless the Snark SN5 gets broken.

5Love the red color and ease of use  May 30, 2011 By Sandra E. Hargrove
I have used a variety of violin tuners over the years. This clip-on tuner is great for tuning in a noisy area. It will read your string's note either by sound or by vibration. I thought at first that the red color would be a bit too wild. However, it is a lovely tone that blends in well with the brown color of my violin's scroll where I have it clipped. I do not even notice it's presence (by sight or by getting in my way) when I am playing the violin. Very cool tool!

The price was very moderate for the technology this provides.

5Hands Down, THE BEST TUNER YOU CAN GET  Nov 11, 2011 By Patrick King
I love electronic tuners. They have revolutionized the process of learning to play guitar. That said, most electric tuners still take several minutes to tune correctly and most are also knocked off key be external sounds. The Snark tuner cuts through all that BS. It does not tune through a microphone but through the string vibrations so is not put off by other things going on on stage or in the room. A five to ten minute process is cut down to under a minute. With the Snark there is no reason not to tune every time you pick up your instrument. They do appear to be somewhat delicate. I would not, for example, carry mine in a pants pocket or toss it in an box of gear. Although it's very inexpensive, it is still a valuable piece of equipment and should be cared for. In the past 20 years I've probably owned 20 tuners. None of them come within a hundred miles of the Snark. Far and away the best I've ever found.
