4Great but needs refurbishing to make it like the German edition  Jan 12, 2011 By E. Campion Kersten
This beginner's course is pedagogically superb. However, I was initially sent the German language edition by mistake (by another provider). It has the same basic content but is expanded and much more clearly and attractively set up and printed. Too bad the same hasn't been done for this English language edition!

4Method is dry and boring, but valuable  Sep 06, 2011 By Mommy_78
I purchased this book a month ago for my 3-year-old son at the request of his piano teacher. I was initially astounded by how dry this book is....method is quite different from the familiar tunes and standard finger starting positions in the early Faber series, and the complete opposite of the ear-friendly Suzuki method. The book really makes the young pianist think before acting, which has proven to be a challenge for my son. However, the teacher swears by this method and says that with proper daily practice, a child will be able to play Bach minuets within a year. So, we will see.
