The most widely played reeds in the professional world, with a superiority proven over many years, these reeds suit all styles of music. The principal acoustic qualities of these reeds are excellent response in all registers, even allowing a pianissimo attack of the highest notes, flexibility allowing the legato or staccato execution of large intervals and a richness of tone which gives body and brilliance to the sound.

5I like these more than other brands  Mar 06, 2011 By Raudi
I first bought Rico, since Amazon suggested them and, being new to the clarinet, I had not heard of Vandoren. I now use both Rico and Vandoren in my reed rotation and look forward to the Vandorens each time they come up to use. As a beginner, I feel like I have more control without having to force it. The notes sound better than the Rico. Overall, I am sticking with Vandoren and once my Ricos wear out, I will not buy those again. A couple extra bucks is just worth it...

Not a big deal, but the picture with this product (as of March 5, 2011) shows #3's, but you get #2's when ordering from this page.

4Excellent all-around clarinet reeds  Mar 01, 2011 By A. Long
#2 reeds are pretty much standard in all student clarinets and I have found these to perform better than most at this price point.

5Great for Bulgarian  Apr 12, 2012 By L. Gompf
I play clarinet in a 6-member international folk music band. The softer reed is great for the emotionality and the quality of the Vandoren allows me to get pretty high (a 2 1/2 gets full range but I rarely practice enough to have enough breath to make it through the long tunes) and it lets me be more articulate if I need to. I also really love that they come individually wrapped so I can always tell if a reed is new (I try to always keep at least one backup broken-in reed, so if I'm lazy with labeling them, confusion can ensue.)

5great product  Jan 22, 2012 By Cheryl Davis
great product and cheaper than the music store. I will order again. If you need the whole box and not individuals.

5We love Vandoren Reeds!  Sep 20, 2011 By Melissa G. Brickey "Melissa"
We have tried Rico reeds in the past and have always come back to Vandoren. They are the most bang for your buck with beginners and advanced clarinet and saxophone players. Highly recommend these reeds!
